Before you, I had unreasonable expectations about love. I never understood how much work and heartache goes into actually finding true love. I used to believe those other boys that said the words “I love you” to me and I believed that I meant it when I said it back. Looking back on my younger self, I shake my head and laugh over how easily I believed, because there is no way that I was in love with anyone before you.
There is absolutely no way that I ever felt this strongly for anyone before. Now I know everytime that you “I love you” to me, you mean it. I know that those three little words, that simple little phrase with over a million translations, are from your heart. I don’t need you to prove them because I can feel it. I can feel that you love me and I know that I’m not wrong.
